April Stewart, R.N., M. Ed. In Health Education
April joined the Alliance in 1996. She has lived in Las Vegas since 1991. April is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She is a Registered Nurse with a Master’s Degree in Education in Health Education from U.N.L.V. As a nurse, April worked in various areas of nursing, primarily in adult care. She met her husband, Paul, a pulmonologist, while working in Valley Hospital C.C.U. They have been married for 12 years and have two children, Erin, 10, and Morgan, 6. April and Paul have contributed to the community by hosting fundraisers for prominent politicians on the local, state, and national levels. April also researched and created the Jingle Bell Jog 5K/ 1 mile walk as an event for Junior League and most recently served as the Family Chair for the American Lung Association in Fall 2008. In her spare time, April likes to jog and has participated in the Las Vegas ½ Marathon for the past two years, walk her three cocker spaniel dogs, and traveling with her family. She is excited to serve as Co-President for CCMSA and proud to be a part of the medical community in Southern Nevada.
