CCMSA Committees

Book Club: This club is for you if you love to read and discuss what you’ve read. This club is social and meets monthly. Members take turns hosting and the group decides what books are chosen.

Community Health: This is the core of what we do in the Alliance. This committee discusses pertinent health issues impacting the county and state. These discussions often lead to action as in the smoking ban project, the internet safety project, nursing scholarship programs. Members are welcome to participate, share ideas and promote changes.

Cooking Club/ Gourmet Alchemist Group : meets monthly to learn and experience wide varieties of culinary treats this town has to offer. Meetings are held in private homes, fantastic restaurants, demonstration kitchens and the like. Our talented members have demonstrated their skills as well as enjoying the skills of master chefs from around town.

Dinner Group/ Bon Vivants: Dinner group which meets at interesting restaurants, spouses are welcomed to attend this social group.

Fashion Show committee: Plans the fabulous annual fundraiser fashion show. Your talents in the following areas are welcomed: Entertainment, Sponsorships, Decorations, Silent Auction, Speakers, Logistics

Holiday Greeting Card: Fundraiser for Nursing Scholarship Awards

Infant / Toddler Play Groups: East and West Side Play groups available

Internet Safety: We are spreading the word to all middle schools as part of a national program. We are interested in protecting our kids while on the internet.

Legislative Committee: We get involved with all aspects of legislature that affect physician issues.

MOM/ Medical Office Managers: this is a professional support for members who manage medical offices. We learn from each other and professionals in the community. Professionals are always needed for educational workshops.

Newsletter: this committee puts together the CCMSA monthly newsletter, Triage. News articles, pictures, special interest stories greatly appreciated by members.
