President's Message

Welcome!

On behalf of the Clark County Medical Society Alliance, I would like to invite you to join our unique organization. We are a group of physicians and spouses of physicians whose purpose is supportive and charitable. We support the programs of the Clark County Medical Society, Nevada State Medical Association Alliance and the American Medical Association Alliance. Our charitable endeavors include promoting health and safety programs in the local Las Vegas community.

I have been a Member of the Clark County Medical Society Alliance for 20 years now. I have a Bachelors degree in Communications, specialized in Public Relations from UNLV and have kept up my experience by serving with this organization in the Non-Profit sector. Las Vegas has grown and so have we. Once not heard of we are now the PR front for Physicians and Spouses. We are proud to be under the umbrella of the Clark County Medical Society. We make a difference and fight to see medicine flourish.

I have served as President first in 2000 when we established the first web site, the first Fashion Show fundraiser. Many Presidents advanced our presence and worked hard to get us to where we are today. I served again in 2006 as President after working as Luncheon 2nd Vice President for many years. As a Board Member I have got the chance to meet and work with some of the greatest ladies, each talented and giving their time to help the many charities we have supported along with caring for their families.

We have two major fundraiser's. The first is our Holiday Greeting Project which raises monies to award Nursing Scholarships. The second is our annual Spring Fashion Show Fundraiser which raises money for a local nonprofit charity. This year the charity of choice is Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada. Funds raised this year will provide Health Care and medicine to the indigent and those in need in the local community.

Our other activities include monthly luncheon meetings, social clubs such like the Book Club, the Couples Wine Group, Medical Office Managers, The Dinner Group, the New Exercise Group and many others. This year we will offer a trip to Napa for the CCMSA members. Please look for the information about our activities in our newsletter and our new web site.
