VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE OF SOUTHERN NEVADA

“A Culture of Caring!”

Jobs are lost. Health insurance is lost.

Right now, as many as 400,000 people in Southern Nevada lack access to even the most basic health care.

You may not know how to help or what you can give, but the greatest gift you can give is yourself, your compassion and your time. The physicians, nurses, pharmacists, medical assistants and office staff who donate their time to Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada (VMSN) are providing our uninsured friends and neighbors with the routine medical care and medications they so desperately need.

Established in 2008, VMSN opened the doors of its first free clinic in January 2010. Since that time the clinic has helped more than 1,600 patients. Still, that number falls short of the need, and the capacity of our Paradise Park clinic. The only thing that the clinic needs in order to serve more patients is – you guessed it – more volunteers like you!

The clinic uses both active and retired professionals to provide primary care, pediatrics and gynecology. VMSN’s volunteer physicians take care of the patients and we take care of the rest! We take care of the office, labs, diagnostic tests and medications. Ideally, medical professionals will qualify for Federal Tort Claims Act Protection and receive free medical malpractice liability insurance to volunteer at VMSN. All we ask is return is a few hours of service each month.
